Inside Eddie’s Daydream #23

Wow I actually made it to my 23rd day dream. I am currently working on a piece that delves into the relationship between Alpha black males and black homosexuals. I think it will be an interesting piece.

Between the fires in Tennessee, the terrorist act at Ohio State university, the acquittal of a murder charge to another rogue policeman, and the slaying of former NFL player Joe McKnight, media has been a depressing thing to watch. By the way: people in FLINT, MI still don’t have clean water, the #NoDaPL protests have been blacked out by most media outlets, and voter suppression tactics are impending with Steve Bannon having an important input to Trump’s strategy.

Sometimes I sit and think to myself, “man, this shit is hopeless”. I know I was once fooled by the election of Obama, buying into a post-racial America. The truth is I was blinded by symbolic victories over actual facts. I am at a point now where I completely understand how real change will happen. It starts with altruism, and wisdom of self. Realizing we live in a system that is worldwide. It starts with de-colinizing ourselves and our behavior towards each other. The African natives still have colonized minds due to having their resources stripped from them and distributed worldwide. They have this white-savior complex that we have in the states, and don’t believe in pan-africanism like Garvey and W.E.B. DuBois.

Only solution is to try to educate those who want to be educated. Too much denial and delusion going around nowadays.

  1. Powerful words Eddie: I appreciate being able to come to your blog and learn from someone with more knowledge than me on many topics. The Van Jones video was especially helpful. I feel like my primary reaction to the Trump election has been mostly emotional, so it was good for me to hear someone speaking about it in rational terms. I also like how he pointed out that both parties have problems, because that seems to be pretty clear at this point.
