African American waitress receives huge tip from 3 Trump supporters

Duration 15 mins

In this podcast I talk about the recent executive orders that Trump signed, an African American waitress who received a generous tip from two Donald Trump supporters, the myth of one united society and what racism really means.

Inside Eddie’s Daydream #23

Wow I actually made it to my 23rd day dream. I am currently working on a piece that delves into the relationship between Alpha black males and black homosexuals. I think it will be an interesting piece.

http://m.tmz.com/#article/2016/12/02/joe-mcknight-shooter-released-ronald-gasser/

Between the fires in Tennessee, the terrorist act at Ohio State university, the acquittal of a murder charge to another rogue policeman, and the slaying of former NFL player Joe McKnight, media has been a depressing thing to watch. By the way: people in FLINT, MI still don’t have clean water, the #NoDaPL protests have been blacked out by most media outlets, and voter suppression tactics are impending with Steve Bannon having an important input to Trump’s strategy.

Sometimes I sit and think to myself, “man, this shit is hopeless”. I know I was once fooled by the election of Obama, buying into a post-racial America. The truth is I was blinded by symbolic victories over actual facts. I am at a point now where I completely understand how real change will happen. It starts with altruism, and wisdom of self. Realizing we live in a system that is worldwide. It starts with de-colinizing ourselves and our behavior towards each other. The African natives still have colonized minds due to having their resources stripped from them and distributed worldwide. They have this white-savior complex that we have in the states, and don’t believe in pan-africanism like Garvey and W.E.B. DuBois.

Only solution is to try to educate those who want to be educated. Too much denial and delusion going around nowadays.

Male Homophobia in the Black community (rant)

To understand the toxic relationship of black alpha-male men and black homosexuals in present-day, you must recognize the ideology of hip-hop and its role creating the modern black masculinity concept.

It is no secret that there is some odd energy between black male homosexuals  and black cishet hetero-men. For the most part, hip-hop is a genre of music that is heavily misogynistic. We can all agree that hip-hop is a creation spawned by black culture. It wouldn’t be far fetched to say that there is a large influence of hip-hop in the urban and poor sections of black America. Modern black masculinity therefore is commonly associated with Hip-Hop. To understand the toxic relationship of black alpha-male men and black homosexuals in present-day, you must recognize the ideology of hip-hop and its role creating the modern black masculinity concept.

Many black homosexuals have a negative relationship with alpha or cishet men from the African diaspora. This is usually a result of being ostracized, assaulted, or teased during high school for being feminine in voice, gait, disposition, and so forth. In response, many young men in these situations resorted to befriending young black women. The young black woman represented sort of a maternal protector from many of these cishet alpha black men during conflict, some even willing to fight for the closeted (gay) friend. Socially these black women were mirrored images of their mothers, or sisters. Many gay black men tend to be closer to black women in friendship, in comparison to hetero-black men.

During this symbolic metaphorical sisterhood, the gay male would recognize the shortcomings and failures of many of his black female friends failed relationships. In short, it was usually the fault of hetero-black men. His play-sisters would almost always complain about the same issues many strong single black mothers would gripe about: “This nigga ain’t shit, He don’t wanna pay child support, He doesn’t respect me, He don’t take care of his kids,  He trifling, He stay going in and out of jail, He can’t never get his shit together”

With this in mind, the gay black man acknowledges these flaws as a fluid characteristic that is inseparable from black masculinity. This pattern of behavior demonstrated from cishet black men starting from childhood up into adulthood is problematic. Black masculinity as a whole, if not beta, is seen as toxic.
From a straight black male or cishet perspective, protecting your image and masculinity is necessary at all costs. Never let anyone violate your manhood, because in the end, all you have is your word and your balls. If you let another man emasculate you publicly, that is reason for violence to ensue. The worst insult that another cishet black man could hear is anything questioning his sexuality. Insults such as: “Nigga, you’s a bitch, you are a fag, you pussy…”

In hip-hop, his favorite artists taught him that ideology, directly or indirectly, and these lyrics have shaped his views on life. His entourage of brothers relate to these hip-hop artists and the way he feels. His circle “don’t hang with no gay dudes”, and his squad will not be taken lightly because of that.
Another avenue of masculinity is taught the traditional route. Being effeminate in any way is cause for scolding by men who are in the family tree. These could be uncles, cousins, brothers or fathers who see weakness or vulnerability in a male relative. For example, one child decides that he won’t fight back a local bully at school. Being soft, or not seeking retaliation for this physical assault, is cause for reprimanding. The older male relative when catching wind of the situation will usually respond aggressively like “Son, if you don’t go back and find that boy that did this to you, and kick his ass, I’m gonna kick your ass! We are Jackson (last name) men, we don’t play that shit!” 😠

In weekly Sunday mass, he also is confronted by a religious leader who condemns homosexuality as a ticket to hell. To be a gay man, would be akin to suffer a punishment worst than death itself: an abomination to God. To believe in Christ, in the formal sense, is to denounce these “acts” as immoral.

In short, the alpha black man  has been taught conventional masculinity. The homosexual black man has been shunned from all areas of black manhood. The gay man matures into adulthood with a caustic relationship towards alpha black men. The collective assaults and taunting during adolescence, boils to a head in adulthood. This is why I suspect many homosexual men are tightly bound to LGBTQ issues over race issues. The black homosexual men who are about racial discrimination, also conflate homosexual prejudice into the equation. “We can’t talk about white supremacy, unless we confront the bigotry of homophobia in the black community. They are ALL connected!”. Herein lies the reason for black feminists, who also may be (gay) lesbian and face similar quagmires in the black community, or black women who have been mistreated by black men, to confront alpha black masculinity as well as the fight against racism. This ideology is called “intersectionality”.

From these frustrations, the #BlackLivesMatter group arises and gets funded to become a digital revolution. By reading the #blacklivesmatter mission statement, it is apparent that this group is not solely a movement for hetero cishet black men.

The #blacklivesmatter movement can be seen as anti-alpha black male. They are against traditional black marriage, and look to re-affirm queerness as true pro-blackness, not “toxic” black masculinity.

The real reason behind this movement is white feminism, and racist gay whites who don’t wish to associate homosexuality or feminism with minority struggles. Michael Sam, the first openly gay player to be drafted by the NFL, came out earlier this year in an interview, and spoke out against racism in the lgbt community. White feminism has always been mum on racially charged issues, often writing pieces on HUFFINGTON POST that have always been centered on sexism and politics. Many cishet black men have been the scapegoat of society. We are America’s largest problem, for some reason. We are the enemies of white men, white women, black men, and black women. The only safe haven of black manhood is in the barbershop. To be alpha male in this current environment, is to risk being labeled sexist or ignorant about the black woman’s struggle, or insensitive to the plight of homosexual black men.

I don’t deny the ignorance and toxic environment of cishet black masculinity. There is a lot of misconceptions of homosexuality, most notable is that it considered a choice. “You can’t be born gay! What kinda shit is that?!” or “I don’t agree with that lifestyle my nigga, I’m straight.”

I don’t think we are born straight or gay. We honestly are just born and grow attracted to whomever we are attracted to. I happened to always have an affinity for females. My cousin who is an open gay man, has always been feminine. Most boys will grow up and like girls, but some boys just won’t. I played with teenage mutant ninja turtles and wrestling figures as a kid, some boys will play with dolls. It’s against my belief because I don’t feel like kids should be sexualized too young. A child’s mind is very impressionable at an early age. They aren’t fully capable of understanding sexuality at such a young age. A young boy may only wish to play with dolls because he is curious about a woman’s anatomy. A liberalized adult may interpret their son wanting to play with dolls the same way they would if a friend decided to reveal himself coming out of the closet. They may go into buying a child a dress and heels before he or she knows their abc’s. Give a child time to grow and decide what their identity is before convincing them its okay to be gay at 4 or 6 years old.

Here are a few examples:

I do believe that there is an agenda to make black men more docile. The new generation after me, are definitely part of a more feminine culture. The jeans young black men wear are so tight that their women’s clothes look baggy. Young Thug, a popular rapper, recently made history by breaking gender norms, wearing a dress on his album cover, despite incessantly flaunting guns and claiming heterosexuality. He constantly calls his homeboys ‘bae’ and uses homosexual behavior to confuse the masses and spread confusion among fans, which only promotes his name and music via gossip. This serves as free promotion to him, because nowadays money trumps integrity.

In my humble opinion, there is no reason to have any animosity towards homosexual men. Number one, I got love for them if they are black, and secondly we need to assimilate against the bigger issue, which is white supremacy. There is no enemy or issue bigger than that. If you don’t realize that first and foremost, than we can’t agree on anything else.

The MIDNIGHT BRAIN STORM (11-19-16)

I must say that in a hypothetical world where Hillary actually won, there still would be some white backlash from people below the bible belt who would’ve been upset that Trump lost.

Kanye West says if he voted, he would’ve voted for Trump. West also says we need to get over racism,  because he thinks racist is separate from racism. Twitter lost their damned minds and let him have it.

He went from this:

To This:

Stop complaining about Racism, but he went on this rant about being shut out of the fashion industry, because of his race. A few years back, talm bout! “We’re all slaves!!”

The industry changes people. If you voted for Trump as a black man, you are a sellout in my book. Trump ran a copy+paste version of ‘the southern strategy‘, which completely blamed minorities for the world’s problems, and resuscitated the ku klux klan back to life. He promoted the black brute myth, the latino’s are bringing this country down myth, and pandered to people below the bible belt.  Hillary doesn’t give a damn about black folks either, but voting for an open racist like that is no bueno.

However, I must say that in a hypothetical world where Hillary actually won, there still would be some white backlash from people below the bible belt who would’ve been upset that Trump lost. Either way, someone has hell to pay for being a ‘n***er lover’ or other racial slur. I hope that if you live in a racially segregated town as a minority, you consider leaving to an interracial town.  I just read a story in Louisiana somewhere, where this 8 year old boy got his arm broken.

In other news Sage Steele went in on a football player for kneeling, and caught hell on social media. She immediately went into victim mode and wrote a long post on Facebook about the criticism she faces for being bi-racial, and being married to a white man. She even threw her kids into it. Not everyone bought it on social media.

I have no issue with interracial relationships, but I’m not praising a white man for choosing a beautiful bi-racial woman. She wishes to live in a color-blind society while uplifting a white man for accepting her black side, but condemns black people for not living in a united color-blind world. I can really go in on this topic, but it would be too long to get into. The main point I will make is that white men have been choosing black women for a loooong time. Thomas Jefferson, one of the founding fathers of this beautiful country we live in, couldn’t get enough of that mulatto love. He fathered six kids with a woman named Sally Hemings, who was bi-racial also. White men have no problem getting busy with sistas, especially mulatto’s. One of the first interracial couples was Julius Caesar and Cleopatra. Sage Steele, reminds me so much of that damn character that was in that bar conversation on black unity.

On a positive note. This tweet below is the exact reason it is very important to educate our kids.

As you can see, this girl is maybe 15 or 16 years old max, but she is more intelligent than the damn teacher. The teacher is using all of these stormfront.com talking points that white supremacists use, and she shuts him down at every corner. He thinks he has her with the “How can you complain (about white supremacy) when our president is black?” and her rebuttal leaves him speechless. We need more young educated maniacs like this young woman in our school system. She should’ve been teaching the damn class instead of him. A lot of these teachers that come from different backgrounds view black children as inferior. Being at a predominately black school, most teachers automatically assume, because of  statistics formed by  the (racist) bell curve theory, that black kids under achieve because they are genetically inferior. That is a complete myth. If your child can memorize a song, they can retain information in a book. The U.S. education system has an implicit bias towards black kids. Our children are most likely to be misdiagnosed with ADHD, and stigmatized with behavior disorders due to these biases. It is truly up to us as a race to produce educational maniacs like this.

What blacks need to recognize under Trump (Part 3)

We need to practice the 22nd law of power. Surrender and turn that weakness into power. We have given the democratic party our votes for several decades, only to be left behind until next election. If you are a democrat, and you’re black, then you need to demand that the next politician that panders to you next election, can show you a policy that will impact your community. In the meantime, you need to realize the flaw of being dependent on a system that is built to keep the prosperous wealthy, and the poor people working for eternity. How can we reorganize and restructure our communities? What can you do that will improve the life of your family? We are in a state of racial tension that hasn’t been matched since the 1940’s and 50’s. You have the KKK grouping Blacks and Jews as targets for violence. Practice your 2nd amendment rights and practice the art of self-defense. Now is not the time to be seen out in the streets protesting as an open target. You want to be as invisible as possible. Take the Dashiki off, along with the Kemetic Ankh and Malcolm X hat. Study the “Sundown Towns” in your area, it is as simple as a google search, and enter your state next to it. You have to surrender to a power that is greater than you. Trump will be POTUS whether you like it or not, and his supporters will be looking to stoke fear through violence of minorities. Enter a self-defense class, and visit your gun-range to get accustomed to using your firearm. Lord forbid that you actually have to use it, but its better to defend your life, than be a victim and not have one.

screen-shot-2016-11-15-at-9-24-03-pm

It’s unfortunate, but you may have to tell your kids to stay in areas that have a mixed population like big cities. Don’t walk down all-white neighborhoods that you aren’t familiar with. If you attend a concert, don’t hesitate to pay an extra 20-40 dollars for parking to avoid walking an extra distance past dark areas where perpetrators may lurk. Many times, a white supremacist will antagonize you to incite a reaction from you. When you respond back to retaliate, they will execute you and chalk it up as self-defense.  Don’t fall for that trick. I’ve seen it happen a gazillion times in history books.

the-dred-scott-decision-1857-synopsis

When you are in a system where black lives don’t matter to anyone, you must calculate your moves wisely. Figure out ways to improve your community the best way you know how. Strategically think of how we can thrive under Trump. From a business aspect, there will be far more incentives to start a business, compared to working.Working for an employer should be key, until you can finish off your debts. Fight whatever powers are holding you back financially. These may be 4-8 years of serious budgeting to knock down debt. If you are overwhelmed with debt, consider bankruptcy. Hell, our president-elect had no problem doing it to get his money right. We have to think about strategy. Take a small loss now, for a huge gain long term. Stop patronizing white businesses in white areas where you aren’t welcome. Take that same money and go to a black-owned business in a predominately black part of town. If the black business lacks great service, ask for a manager and tell them what they could improve on before you return. This can really help a black business owner get feedback on how he or she can improve their business. Join local black groups who share the same interests as you. Visit more city council meetings in your neighborhood and bring your kids with you so they have a better sense of politics when they get older. Vote locally, be vocal where it counts and stay vigilant. If you have the time and energy, take your kids to attend the annual National Night Out event to meet and greet the local officers. If you take your kids often enough, a few these officers may recognize your child and be lenient. You can’t miss a black kid at a police appreciation event. It may or may not work, there is no guarantee your teenage child may get pulled over by the cops who recognize him or her. Or maybe they will, I guess it depends on time and circumstance, but its the start of mending a fence between blacks and police officers. In my mind, there are far more good cops, than rogue ones. For many of us, we think having the least contact with officers is best, we may have to group up locally to show appreciation of the good cops who serve the community. I can already hear the disagreement with this method, but its a start. Whether ineffective or not, whatever we have been trying before isn’t working, so we need to try something new.

quote-there-can-be-no-black-white-unity-until-there-is-first-some-black-unity-malcolm-x-109-25-65

We need to assemble with each other and build. It may seem backwards to segregate ourselves from daily life outside of work, but it may serve us best to improve our community and race first, before turning to non-blacks and asking for help. We need  more black empowerment, less black power. There is no black power, without black empowerment. Building your own neighborhood of black businesses and patronizing these black businesses, is the most powerful thing a black person can do. Solutions like gofundme pages instead of banks to raise money for businesses, may be an option worth looking at. The answers WILL NOT come from politicians or government. We have to enhance and build up each other.

We need to submit and surrender, while organizing and turning our weaknesses into strengths. These 4-8 years of Trump, can be the opportunity  for us to make major changes in our approach. I am dreaming that one day, through these troublesome times we can turn street gangs into what they originally were, community empowerment groups. Hopefully through the let project, I can inspire men who come from the streets, to emphasize the importance of education and reading books. If I can empower one person, that can change a group of men into scholars, we could create the beginning of a national movement. We can show young men that they actually do matter, and it is never too late to become a leader, even in prison.

What blacks need to recognize under Trump (part 2)

. In fact there are far more white people who disagree with Trump, than agree with him. Hillary Clinton won the popular vote, but lost the electoral college. Now we have oodles and large assemblages of white folks who are fighting back throughout the country.

NO MORE DIET RACISM!!!! All I see on my twitter timeline is #NeverTrump and #NotMyPresident and people going mad. We need to recognize that us as Black people LOVE DIET RACISM. We love diet racism more than overt racism. Hillary is a ‘Diet Racist’, and Trump is a bold and unapologetic racist. Now that we live in an openly racist country that overwhelmingly voted Trump in the electoral college, we can stop guessing and figure out who the real racists are. White supremacy is back out in the open, and honesty is of the utmost importance. If I am facing a problem, I need to identify it and come with solutions on how to fix it. Not every white person is a racist, so I am not implying that every white person is. Now we have oodles and large assemblages of white folks who are fighting back throughout the country.

Exhibit A:

Exhibit B:

Exhibit C:

This is happening throughout the nation. My advice to black people, stay your black ass at home. Don’t go out there protesting and getting involved with the brouhaha. Let these white people have their civil war part 2. Liberal whites vs. militant conservatives. This has already happened before, I keep telling you guys that history repeats itself. White supremacy is going to implode on itself when they realize that Trump won’t be able to do everything he said he would do: That wall won’t get built near Mexico (Obama is the expert on immigration deportation, look at Eddie’s Daydream #18 for reference), the Obama-care won’t be completely taken away {just re-branded under a different name}, Muslims probably won’t face any intense vetting beyond what’s already in place, He’ll probably have to take a few democrats, that conservatives disdain, and place them in certain positions, due to merits and qualifications. Trump will realize after intense talks with Obama for the next upcoming months, that the democratic party hasn’t been as left as he exclaimed they were. White supremacy will eventually have people taking sides and becoming angry, which will cause infighting and discord. One could imagine heated exchanges that would require DNA tests to prove true Aryan brotherhood (German blood). Italians going against Irish, against Englishmen, against Russian, etcetera. It may start off with the initial excitement and pervasiveness of hate, but hate will always turn on itself and backfire.

Blue lives matter to me also. I am not against police and I feel they should be protected at all times, but this goes to show you that conservatives do not care about blue lives as much as they say they do. Cops are being fatally wounded by white suspects in little towns throughout the United States.  Cops have always had higher incidents of violence and death with caucasians in comparison to blacks, but they make up 62% of U.S. population compared to our 13% of the population. This is why we are 2.5 times as likely to be murdered, despite having lesser body counts than whites.   Despite this victory appearing like a win for white supremacy, more violence and hate crimes will occur. The lower class of whites–who most liberals and wealthy conservatives disassociate themselves with–will have more interactions with police. If these cops are being assaulted by these lower class violent white criminals, they will eventually become the new “Thugs”. Police will expect to be extra vigilant around these white supremacists who have a violent jail record, display the confederate flag, nazi symbol, or KKK cross. Technology has empowered even the poorest people. If you have a cell phone, you can capture footage of these hate crimes. Wealthy minorities whose property gets defaced or vandalized, will be captured on camera and reported. Despite media not reporting these serious crimes, social media clicks and liberal outrage will cause media conglomerates to talk about these hate crimes. This is why social media is important, because we have the ability to inform and access information before the media reports it. If the Philando Castile shooting never got uploaded to Facebook live, we would’ve never heard of it, because these media companies pick and choose what stories they report.

Take the story of Larry Gordon.

http://usat.ly/29J9OwJ

This man got into a courthouse shooting , grabbed an officers gun, killed a Bailiff and chief of courthouse security. He was a child molesting rapist who got his teenage victim high off of meth, sexually assaulted her as he videotaped it and threatened violence if she didn’t comply.  Here is the transcript if you want to know the details. THIS NEVER GOT REPORTED ON NATIONAL MEDIA. In fact, the article that was written about it when it first happened, was sympathetic to Larry Gordon. Nobody picked up this tragic story about two people who lost their lives in an act of terror. You wanna know what the media was putting out:

screen-shot-2016-11-11-at-11-26-55-pm

Philando Castile was mislabeled as a crip –because he had a blue shirt and blue hat–racists cropped out the white people behind him and painted him as a gangster. Castile was a cafeteria worker that practiced his 2nd amendment rights, in an open-carry state. Despite having no negative reputation and being a friendly cafeteria worker, the NRA had no comment on the situation. The media scrutinized Alton Sterling’s prison record showing his dirty past. This tactic is specifically used against black people, to make the unlawful killing justified. “He was a bad person, She deserved to get killed anyway. They should’ve complied.” They used this tactic in HBO’s series “The night of”, if  you haven’t seen this show, check it out. The background of black victims gets examined, because it draws fiery debates for attention. Racial tensions between the #blacklivesmatter protesters and non-tolerant whites were being challenged. Media loved the race war, they would have one racist pundit like future Supreme Justice, Rudy Giuliani, and one person that was supportive of BLM, debate it out. The media was more concerned with creating this divisiveness between #blacklivesmatter and law enforcement. They omitted any other stories that involved non-violent shootings of whites against law enforcement. Here is an example of what I’m talking about:

We can all argue what we think, but this man was unarmed and obviously was attempting to commit suicide-by-cop. Before being shot he yelled ,”I hate my life”, but we can’t say the cops are wrong for being concerned about the safety of their lives. He walked towards them after being told not to move forward while not revealing what he had in his hands. Dylan Noble didn’t fit into the narrative the media was trying to push, so they came with another shooting that was similar but with a  black woman, that involved a child.

These officers and the officer who is negotiating with her appears to be willing to talk it out in a peaceful manner, but the woman refuses to budge. She puts her 5 year old son at risk by holding a shotgun in a gun standoff. She is a veteran, who probably is skilled at using that shotgun, and extremely dangerous. At the beginning of the negotiation, she should’ve at least kept her 5 year old out of harms way. She was militant and combative, willing to lose her life, believing in some mythical black sovereignty. DO NOT FALL FOR THAT BLACK SOVEREIGNTY BULLCRAP. It is a law that does not apply to African Americans, or any citizen of the united states. The Oregon Militia are currently going through a court process that goes into depth about sovereignty. Learn the laws that actually apply to you and act accordingly. She remains hostile and violent during the entire encounter, gets killed, and her son gets shot in the incident as well. Korryn Gaines, was so stubborn she risked her own child’s life and hers. Now he is a motherless child. Korryn Gaines became another hashtag that brought on national debate. Some social justice warriors were on twitter were defending this woman, giving her martyrdom, in spite of her having a hostile attitude with policemen.

The media released footage of her inside of her car being a scofflaw with police officers. The media and press pushed this story in front, grabbed panelists who held opposing views, and created more friction between law enforcement and black people. The media lumped her in with #blacklivesmatter and shared her militant pro-black social media posts to feed into this narrative of black people vs. police. Around this time you had these militant ex-veterans Micah Xavier Johnson, the Dallas terrorist, and  Gavin Eugene Long, the Baton Rouge terrorist,  being placed out there in the media as BLACK PANTHERS. These two incidents sparked a lot of fear among whites. Two tragedies that were clear indicators of a race war to white nationalists. These incidents truly divided the country, because #blacklivesmatter was painted as instigators of these calamities. Many whites by default, accepted the belief that these guys were part of black lives matter, despite telling officers before their death, they were lone wolf terrorists. One black woman that was a black lives matter protester in Dallas,TX. had thanked police officers who protected her from being killed. The Gavin Long shooter had said he acted alone on a youtube video that preceded his act of terror. None of this mattered, because these officers were gone, and these murders were the impetus of a racial divide getting out of hand.

The media caused a divide between white America and black America. Black people waited for answers and prayed for convictions of unlawful murders, these white men kept walking free with white sympathy. George Zimmerman only became more emboldened. He recently was kicked out of a bar for calling a waitress a “nigger-lover”.  Zimmerman is a latino man who identifies as white. There are many latinos who identify as white, this is commonplace every time the census bureau comes around. Be careful about standing up for other group’s rights, other than black. LGBTQ , would probably be the only exception in my book, if you are homosexual or have homosexual family members that fear being assaulted under a Trump regime. Many of these other minority groups identify as white behind the scenes, but wish to associate with blacks only when they feel under attack, or wish to receive the minority rights blacks fought for. Peep game, some of these minorities said nothing about Trayvon Martin or Mike Brown, but wish to leave the country NOW, because they fear they will be treated like Black people. None of these groups wish to be treated like black people, that is why they would rather leave the country.

Exhibit A:

That’s not a diss to other groups. I just am making observations. Black people have been getting called “nigger” and spit on, attacked, lynched, vandalized, and assaulted during the whole Obama administration by ‘white nationalists’. White nationalist is a code word for white supremacist.  They have already been mistreating us in broad daylight, but no one payed attention. The nation was ‘fine’ because we had a friendly, affable, gregarious personality as the leader of the free world.

This incident happened in (Liberal) Manhattan Beach, CA.

Despite Dylan Roof being a terrorist, no article in the mainstream said so. He was only labeled as a shooter.

A black man lynched(hung) in N.C., but ruled a suicide. He openly dated a white woman, and was hung in the middle of a trailer park.

More hangings of black men:

http://rollingout.com/2015/03/21/5-horrific-modern-day-lynchings-blacks-america/

While us black folks were praising Obama and saying we live in a colorblind society like this poem i was vehemently against,

We were “YASSSING” and making memes. These white supremacists were linking up to take back this country. And they did, they made noise the whole eight years and we ignored it and said, thats only a few isolated incidents. Thats just the internet, racism doesn’t exist we are one America.

quote-there-is-not-a-liberal-america-and-a-conservative-america-there-is-the-united-states-barack-obama-21-85-78.jpg

I also failed to mention the countless court cases of white men evading murder charges and jail for the unlawful killings of black men like Freddie Gray. The murdering of our children like Tamir Rice and Tyre King. This has always been the America we lived in, just more heightened and obvious. Don’t take this information as a diss, but recognize that we have ALWAYS been catching hell. Just be more aware of your surroundings and focus on reality instead of symbolisms.

Side Note: If Trump gets impeached, then you will have Mike Pence who is staunchly against homosexuality as the President. I think I will take Trump. Part 3 coming soon.

What Black america needs to recognize under Trump (Part 1)

#1. Black people need to see how racist America really is – We have been blinded by the election of Obama, and forgot about the Bush years. We forgot about the neglect America showed during Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans. We have been too caught up in lies of a post-racial society. Take a look at the results and you will see there were lots of people that appeared liberal with Jill Stein or Hillary signs in front of their yard, but voted Trump. These people voted for Trump on the low, because they didn’t want the stigma that comes along with voting for Trump. If you had majority white neighbors and Malcolm X was running for president, would you put out his campaign sign on your lawn? Probably not, because many white folks would suspect you of being a violent black person who hates white people. You may have white friends who you don’t wish to offend, but you love everything Malcolm X is talking about. This is the same thing with these pro-trump voters. THEY KNOW EXACTLY WHO DONALD TRUMP IS AND WHAT HE STANDS FOR. DON’T  LET THE WHITE-SPLAINING FOOL YOU. White supremacists are master deceivers and have been mastering their craft since colonialism, they have been taught how to play oblivious around black people. History repeats itself, over and over, and if this election hasn’t proven that, then remain a fool. Ask a white supremacist why did he or she vote Donald Trump, they will lie and tell you he represents change. In other words: “We are not only tired of the niggers with the black lives matter signs, we need to get rid of these fucking Mexican’s also. We are tired of all these Mexican’s overpopulating the united states, if we don’t put a stop to these Mexican’s who cross the border and commit crimes, than they will be the majority telling whites what to do. If we want to protect our race, we have to build a big freaking wall –that Mexico will pay for– to keep those damn Mexican’s out of here. These immigrants come here and take all of the damn jobs. Trump will make sure that America has more jobs available in the U.S. and white Americans will obtain them. He said he grabbed pussy ten years ago, have you heard the things that Jay-Z has said? We have to get rid of the LBGTQ circus as well, men should be with women and not other men. Bullying is no big deal, because I’ve been bullied and these new-age people make a big deal out of everything. That’s what I miss about the old America, we used to say what the fuck we wanted to, and not care. And what about these Muslims who come here and commit Terror, we need to put them through extreme vetting to prevent another 9/11 attack from happening. Trump is gonna protect white america, just watch and see.”

It is not Trump who people are worried about. It is the people who elected Trump into office, who people are worried about. You have people committing hate crimes nationwide, and it hasn’t even been one day after being president-elect. Imagine four years of being targeted for hate crimes. If you support Trump, you also support this bullshit below. No exceptions.

That is the type of stuff that gets said behind our backs when we aren’t around. Black women who are feminists, please recognize this as a slap in the face. It’s okay to be a proud black woman, but you must understand that most white women will stand behind their race before gender. It has happened before with Harriet Tubman, and Sojourner Truth.  During slavery, around the time of the 1850 fugitive slave act,  Harriet and Sojourner would go to these quaker events. If you don’t know what a Quaker is, it is northern whites who were staunch abolitionists that aided slaves into freedom. Tubman, would do these speeches where she would explain the graphic details of slavery to white people, in exchange for donations that covered food and shelter. She often would take whatever money she had and send it back to her family, or to help other slaves have food to eat. She also would attend these women’s suffrage meetings that were created by a majority of white women. These white women would use images of a black woman slave suffering, and equate that struggle to the pain of white feminists in a white misogynistic patriarchal society. These men could be very abusive, both physically and emotionally. There was little to no respect of women in general, during slavery. White women got a kick out of this and created feminism, where this sense of sisterhood and shared pain could be addressed in a space where someone would listen. Men often liked a woman who was submissive and compliant. For this reason, many head mistresses yearned for this safe haven. As time passed on: the civil war was fought, Abraham Lincoln freed the slaves to gain northern acceptance, and blacks were left with no ability other than picking cotton.  The feminist suffrage group that once was accepting of slaves, had changed. It was 1863 and Susan B. Anthony, with a host of other white feminists wanted nothing to do with blacks or black women. These women were against voting rights for blacks, because they felt blacks were too inferior to have an opinion about anything. We as blacks couldn’t read, write, or do anything special beyond the servitude to whites. Most black women were domestic’s or house servants to whites for paltry sums of money, and got treated like dog shit while white women got on par with white supremacy. Despite using slave women as pawns to get their movement off the ground, suffrage feminists had harbored a negative view towards black women. The black woman was seen as a sexual tool that white men said were very seductive in the bedroom, especially mullatos. These men would gloat about these sexual conquests to other affluent white men, which mistresses would eventually hear of and stew amongst themselves. This stigma was woeful and incorrect, black women were continually raped and forced to be a victim of sexual abuse. As a slave you weren’t considered a human, and had no rights, so these assaults continued until the emancipation proclamation. Despite all of that, you still have black women like Jackee celebrating a racist white feminist.

This tweet is beyond ignorant. That is like me saying “If it wasn’t for the atlantic slave trade and colonialism, we wouldn’t be in such a beautiful country”. What is even crazier is the thread on that tweet. It is absolutely ridiculous. This tweet happened on election day, which is even worse. I love black women who celebrate black womanhood, all I am saying is, STAY WOKE.

Another thing, for my brothers out here gang banging and slanging, just like this video depicts above. We have to link up and get past this generational hood beef of dead homies that ain’t coming back, and form a truce. It has happened before, back in 1992 during the Los Angeles riots, but it is especially important right now. We need to truce up all neighborhoods and be on code against any hate groups that are attempting to harm us. This whole “I’m crip and you blood, and we everybody killa” bullshit must get put to rest like a dead homie. We don’t have time in this racially radicalized environment to be killing each other over 40 year gang beefs, when black people are already targeted just for wearing a hoodie, or sagging pants. A pack of skittles could be misconstrued as a weapon to a race soldier. We are at a point in America where you are gonna have to choose your race over your gang allegiance, plain and simple. I understand this may be wishful thinking, but these hood legends are going to have to take a stand for whats important in their kids lives.

What have you done for the black community? {Solution #2, Unity} Part one (1 of 2)

empty-bar

Five black people walk into a bar. I will give them a name and a brief description. Its Friday afternoon after work, and election day is coming up. They all have different opinions, some things they agree on, but on more important issues they differ. Story is completely fictitious.

bartender

Jeff, a 33 year old White Bartender, who doesn’t wish  to be aligned with any political party. He identifies as an independent, but rarely votes at all.

45yrold

Rashad, a 45 year old Black man, who is pro-black and votes democrat 90 percent of the time. He identifies as Democrat, sternly against Trump, loves Barack Obama, and has a tattoo of the hashtag black lives matter.

blkfeminist

Leena: a 40 year old black woman, who is a Black feminist, votes democrat 100 percent of the time, loves Roxane Gay,  LGBTQ social justice warrior, black lives matter activist and hates alpha males.

darnell

Darnell: a 54 year old black man, who identifies himself as a republican, votes Republican 100 percent of the time, loves Trump, disagrees with #blacklivesmatter, thinks when Trump says Make America Great Again, he is speaking about being a Christian nation.

mixed

Joanne: a 32 year old bi-racial black woman, who identifies herself as independent, considers herself to be undecided on who to vote for. She voted for Obama last election, and has mixed feelings on where the country is headed.

blackii

Malachi: a 35 year old black man, doesn’t vote at all, only votes when propositions are introduced, but doesn’t trust in the 2 party system. He is what many black people would label as “conscious” or ‘hotep’, but doesn’t consider himself anything but for black people.

Jeff: “So Rashad, What can I get for you tonight?”

Rashad:”Henny on the rocks”

**making drink**

**Leena pulls up and grabs a seat. Takes coat off and gestures to Jeff.**

Jeff: “Hey there, what can I get for you?”

Leena:”Ketel One with O.J.”

**makes drink**

Rashad: “Jeff, I know this is a personal question, but what the hell, who are you voting for this election?”

Jeff: (titter) “You know’ I usually don’t talk politics on the job, I’m neutral. I won’t answer political questions on the job, but I don’t mind asking them. Who are you voting for?”

Rashad:”I’m with her.”

Jeff: “Hillary? Why?”

Rashad: “She ain’t Trump!”(in a boisterous, and unapologetic tone)

Leena: ** laughing in agreement** “I know that’s right, sir!”

Rashad: “Ain’t that right, sista?”

Jeff: “And what about you?” (looking at Leena)

Leena: “Hillary all day. Not only because she isn’t Trump, She isn’t as divisive and racist as Trump. Trump is the KKK, I just don’t want to vote for that as president of the greatest country in the world. Hillary knows that Black Lives Matter, she is willing to listen to issues that Black women go through. We need a woman in office because we are past the days of men being in control. We need a woman to run this country! and the time is now.”

Rashad:”I agree with you sista. I am in support of Black Lives Matter, also.”

** Joanne pulls up to the bar and beckons Jeff for a drink**

Joanne:”Yes, I would like a gin and tonic on the rocks. Tanqueray, please. TNT.”

Rashad: “And what do you think about the Wikileaks stuff sista? You know the crap they are blaming Hillary for? the emails?”

Leena: “It’s complete nonsense. The media and Trump supporters are making it a big deal. Hilary apologized and they found nothing that could put her in prison. What’s the big fricking deal? She made an honest mistake, move the hell on.The Feds are Trump supporters anyhow!”

**Joanne overhears conversation and interrupts**

Joanne:”Not to interrupt, but yes it is kind of a big deal. She sabotaged Bernie Sanders and caused distrust between democrats. A lot of us felt betrayed that she divided the party and sabotaged the DNC. I was a Bernie Sanders supporter, and refuse to support Hillary.”

Rashad: “Wait a minute. So you are voting Trump? That doesn’t make any sense.”

Joanne: “I never said that. I am voting for the green party candidate, Jill Stein.”

Leena: (laughing in a dismissive manner) “A vote for Jill Stein, is a vote for Trump. Even my 10 year old knows that. By the way, are your friends voting for DEEZ NUTS. I mean this is ridiculous.”

Joanne: “Good Luck on believing in a proven liar. She is Donald Trump in a pantsuit! I refuse to vote for less of two evils, I’m voting Stein!”

**Darnell overhears conversation, politely jumps in**

Darnell: “Hey what’s wrong with Trump. He may be misunderstood, but he is going to bring this country back to greatness.”

Rashad: “I’m sorry, What’s there not to understand about Trump: Housing discrimination against blacks, the terrible situation with the central park 5, his unreleased footage of him saying racial slurs on NBC, his grabbing pussy remark, what else?”

Leena: “His toxic misogyny, his negative talk about women’s appearance, the irony of him being against immigrants despite being married to one, refusing to denounce violent racists holding him up as a symbol of white supremacy..What else do you need to know? Oh, and he hates blacks.”

Darnell: “He doesn’t hate blacks. He has Ben Carson as one of his advisers.”

Rashad: “Ben Carson is an Uncle Tom, and anyone voting for him that is black is a Tom, too. If the shoe fits, Oh well.”

Leena:**clapping hands laughing** “Yass!”

Darnell: “Ben Carson is a successful Brain surgeon, that has wrote books about lifting himself up from the bottom. He has come from the ghetto, and has risen his way up from nothing, into a presidential candidate. Be careful who you call a Tom.I am a Black Man who has a mind of his own. They used to call Booker T. Washington a Uncle Tom, also. You guys have no clue what a Uncle Tom is! Hillary and the Obama administration are the real problem. The democratic party wants to keep black people poor and desperate. They love having Blacks begging them. By doing this, they keep Black people in their clutches. ‘Here is more welfare and section 8 for the gang bangers and criminals’, but where does that money come from. It comes from the republican’s check. You liberals love all of these handouts, but never think about where it comes from!”

Rashad: “Go back to being a house negro,  Mr. Uncle Tom! the white folk don’t love you any more than the supposed gang banger. They will use your name as the token black friend to claim they aren’t racist. As soon as you leave the country golf club, they are making all kinds of racial remarks about your ‘Clarence Thomas’ ass.”

Leena:** sips orange juice and vodka while smirking in agreement**

Darnell: “Hey, I notice a Black Lives Matter tattoo on your arm, Where was black lives matter in Chicago with all the black on black crime happening over there?”

Rashad: “I don’t know, the same place ALL LIVES MATTER were, when Tamir Rice died. Or when Black people were slaves.”

Leena: “Yass! Exactly”

Malachi:** Orders a shot of 151 proof rum, downs it in one blink**

Jeff: “Whoa, easy there.”

Malachi: “I can handle it. What’s good ya’ll , the hell ya’ll yelling about?”

Rashad: “everything”

Darnell: “These guys just don’t get it. They are voting Hillary (pointing at Rashad and Leena) and I’m voting Trump. They want the same lies that Obama preached about in 2008, pre-election.”

Malachi:”And what about you?” (looking at Joanne the green party voter)

Joanne:” I’m tired of the ‘less of two evil’ bullshit. I’m voting for Jill Stein. I used to be a Sanders supporter, but after wikileaks, I am not voting for either. What about you?”

Malachi: “I refuse to vote period. It is a waste of time. Especially for blacks, because it is a rigged system”

**cacophony of disagreement from all sides**

Leena: “This is the problem with black men, ya’ll don’t take shit seriously. Our ancestors died so we can vote, and your silly ass over here not using what little power you do have to exercise your rights.”

Rashad:” You can’t say you don’t vote, and then complain when shit goes bad. You have to pick a side, whether you like it or not”

Joanne:” I’m voting  for Jill Stein as a protest vote, but I understand where you are coming from.”

Darnell: “what you said is ignorant on all levels of rationality. The system is rigged? were you saying that when Obama became president in 2008? The system isn’t rigged, you just are looking for an excuse not to vote.”

Malachi: “Okay, Leena, the problem isn’t with black men, the problem is a system of white supremacy. Black men and women are going to jail in droves and these are laws that the Clinton’s put in place to make that happen. You guys are so giddy about voting for Hillary, forgetting that she called black men super-predators, and supported the laws her husband implemented to gain conservative votes for re-election. Black people didn’t die so we can vote, they died to give us the opportunity and right to vote!”

Leena: “Just like a Black man, avoiding responsibility for your actions. Always finding excuses for everything.”

Malachi: “What’s your deal with the black man, did you forget about Bill Clinton’s sister souljah moment? You probably was one of the black folks who didn’t believe Barack Obama could be president until whites started getting behind him. You must’ve forgot about the snide remarks the Clinton’s made against Obama during the 2008  presidential campaign.”

Joanne: “Yeah, I remember that. It was heated, it was a shocker that he even chose her as Secretary of state.”

Malachi: “Rashad, no, I have every right to complain if I don’t vote, because I wasn’t dumb enough to elect a candidate I thought would be a messiah. If you vote and that person falls short, YOU have no right to complain, because you put them in office with a full vote of confidence.”

Rashad: “You sound crazy right now, Bruh. That made no sense.” (Laughs)

Malachi: “Bottom line is, I don’t have to pick a side. Life goes on.”

Darnell: “Keep on believing that lie, you must be uneducated.”

Malachi:”Darnell, what do you mean that politics can’t be rigged? Did you forget about the Bush/ Gore Florida voting scandal. I am not saying it is one head honcho who calls shots and decides who becomes president.”

Darnell:” That’s exactly what you are saying!!”

Malachi:” Let me finish!, I’m saying that people who are in the upper class that are among the 1% , who control most of the wealth in the world, have money to create change. Each politician is funded by these corporate entities. If one candidate is in danger of losing, the corporations then hop on the leading  candidate’s coat tail to get laws implemented. I am saying it makes no difference who is president, if money runs politics, and politics create laws.  Money therefore creates bills that get signed into law.”

Darnell: “So why do we vote then, smart-ass?”

Malachi: “To give Americans the illusion of us actually having a choice. The differences between two candidates aren’t as stark as the media propagandizes.”

Darnell: “So what about the the Supreme court and Judges? Is that rigged also. If we have a  liberal President choosing a liberal Supreme Justice, that impacts Americans as well, doesn’t it?”

Malachi: “It doesn’t matter who they choose. You just had Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who white liberals prop up as a goddess, make disparaging remarks about Colin Kaepernick for taking a knee, but not saying anything about the issue he is kneeling for.”

Darnell: “Yeah, that guy Kaepernick is an imbecile. He is a waste of a human being, how dare him disrespect this country and the military that protects it.”

Malachi:”An imbecile for taking a stance against police brutality?  For not standing for a country that doesn’t respect lower class African Americans? This is all happening under a black democratic president. I am here nor there, but that goes to show you that white supremacy always wins.”

Darnell: “White supremacy? Yeah the white supremacy is the reason gang bangers keep killing each other more than cops kill them, and yet they want to blame cops? Come on!”

Malachi:” You just equated Cops with criminals. Cops aren’t criminals and they are here to protect the community. Criminals get sent to jail for their crimes, rogue policemen get paid leave and gofundme pages.”

Darnell: “This is sad, that you don’t see how incredibly foolish you sound.”

Malachi: “My point about the president picking a Supreme Judge to impact America is that nothing changes. The issues that exist now, will continue to exist 30 years from now. As long as the candidates need blue-collar union’s election support, they won’t condemn their actions. They will use code words to appear contrite, but won’t do anything.”

Rashad:”Once again, you sound dumb right now. She already said she is behind police reform.”

Malachi: “I sound dumb. Do you know what police reform is?.. It basically means that they will give police more money to train more cops and buy more guns. The problem isn’t police training, they are extremely proficient at their jobs, it is the bad cops who give law enforcement a bad rep. The true problem is all-white juries that can’t help but think the black victim was responsible for his or her death. If you can get away with unlawful lynching without punishment, there will be no impetus to create change. Department of Justice is already doing police reform. They just awarded 20 billion dollars to law enforcement. Hillary refuses to use the word racial profiling, and adeptly says ‘implicit bias’. That word is not by mistake, to say police racial profile would draw ire from the national police union. Nothing is gonna change for black people if she becomes president. Just like nothing changed for blacks when Obama became president.”

Part 2: Black Anger and The Nate Parker conundrum

I was just talking about this to an owner at a local bookstore that I patronize, and he told me he was repulsed by Nate Parker’s past, and refuses to support him. I told the owner that I may disagree with his shady past, but I feel that the movie he is promoting is important for the black community. Many people are mixed on this situation, but if I knew the skeletons of everyones hands I’ve placed money into, I would be the most frugal man on Earth.

Not soon after I finished my last blog post, the Milwaukee incident happened, Cam Newton says we as a nation are past racism, Nate Parker’s murky past got brought up, and United States of America kicked ass in the olympics. So let’s divulge into the topic of race in America and the Nate Parker situation.

The Milwaukee Incident

officer-involved-shooting-milwaukee-MILWAUKEE-JOURNAL-SENTINEL-VIA-AP-640x480

After reading of the Milwaukee incident that involved the shooting of an armed young black man, burning down of businesses, and vehicles, I have came to the conclusion that I have no idea what actually transpired. I will only go by the facts. Shit went down, and it got ugly. From what I understand is that there were maybe 100 people behind the calamity. The man who was murdered was allegedly armed, and was shot by a black officer who also happened to be a high school class mate of Sylville Smith. Several acts of arson were committed, and 4 officers suffered injuries.

Tensions High In Milwaukee Night After Police Shooting Of Armed Suspect Sparks Violence In City
MILWAUKEE, WI – AUGUST 14: Police officers stand guard as crowds gather for a second night near the BP gas station that was burned after an officer-involved killing August 14, 2016 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Protestors threw rocks and there was gunfire in the crowd as hundreds of people confronted police after an officer shot and killed a fleeing armed man earlier in the day. Here is the issue, the black community and the police have a real animosity that stems as far back as law enforcement have been in business. The cops have a distrust among inner-city urban minorities, specifically black, because of the poverty and crimes that happen in our community. The urban youths, primarily black, have an issue with law enforcement because they are usually taking someone to jail for an indefinite amount of time. Police brutality has always been ingrained in the black community, this phenomena is nothing new. However, because there is massive amounts of technology available, anyone can be videotaped at any moment with a cell phone. The officer fears for his life when he enters these neighborhoods, because he finds most black criminals have that certain “look”. This look is often glamorized in hip-hop videos by rap artists. The influence by these entertainers  become the trendy look in the poor neighborhoods. Dark skin and a popular hairstyle, such as cornrows, can be misinterpreted as an association with a gang. The cop automatically correlates this ‘look’ with violence and tyranny. The Milwaukee police officer, a black man, had possibly feared for his life and did what he felt was necessary. The body cam footage is not openly available to the public and it is impossible to know what really went down. The black anger that invoked a group of several dozen people to commit these crimes can be attributed to the sour relationship of a segregated city, where the poor and black feel invisible when it comes to justice.  As recent as 2014, Dontre Hamilton, a mentally-ill black man, was murdered by Milwaukee police. This incident caused outrage as the officer was let go, but not charged for the murder. No one can justify the arsons of  the businesses in the community that they live in, but unfortunately this is an issue that will not resolve overnight.

Another thing is….Why in the hell do media outlets always go to THIS guy when it comes to riots and civil unrest?

I mean, really??….

CAM NEWTON

Screen Shot 2016-08-21 at 4.40.21 PM

Cam Newton, quarterback of the Carolina Panthers, had this interview with GQ that I read earlier this week. From what I interpreted in this interview was that he didn’t want to talk about anything too political. If he believes that racism is something that we are beyond, and he is serious, than I would have to disagree. When you make it to a point in life where you make a certain amount of money from endorsements and contracts, you rise to a different tax bracket. Money no longer becomes an object, and people treat you differently. When you have money, and you live in a white neighborhood with friendly neighbors, when you have the god-given athleticism and mental acuity to perform at an MVP level, when you become the face of a city and people of all races revere you in an almost god-like perversity, it is hard to believe that racism actually exists. You start to become like O.J. Simpson, a handsome face, with a docile, friendly personality that major brands can attach their names to. Stepping out of the box may cost you endorsement money, and or fines from his league. Being Muhammad Ali, isn’t politically correct nowadays. It is easier to be Wilt Chamberlain than Muhammad Ali. I am reading a book called “40 million dollar Slaves” that delves into the topic even  more so. The label on the cover of the book is extreme, because no wealthy athlete can honestly be compared to a slave, but  the author exposes the reality of many black athletes disassociating themselves from the black community.

NATE PARKER

506945080-director-actor-producer-nate-parker-attends-the-the

As of lately, all of the talk on social media has been about Nate Parker. Parker, 36, producer of the film “Birth of a Nation”, is under fire for a 1999 case that involved the rape of a woman, which he legally got acquitted of while on a wrestling scholarship at Penn State. The report that I have read — which had court documents of testimony –was really murky. I cannot defend a man or his actions, for I do not know what happened. I will not condemn Nate Parker for having a shady past, because he was acquitted by a jury. However, the court documents are disgusting to read. I couldn’t help but cringe.  What I do feel is that this plan of digging up his skeletons is a deliberate plot by some unnamed force. I have seen an article written by a feminist that ripped him into shreds, witnesses who’ve participated in the actual trial defend him on social media, and liberal outlets bring up his reluctance to play a homosexual character on film. Law is a very technical, yet political entity. Everyone who gets acquitted isn’t innocent, and the opposite is true also. The alleged victim committed suicide in 2012, and another person involved with the case is also a co-producer of the “Birth of a nation” film. Roman Polanski, filmmaker, was infamous for a rape case involving a minor sometime in the 70’s. Woody Allen, screenwriter and actor, had sexual abuse allegations against him as well. Not to make light of these situations, but this goes to show you that it was filmmakers who were placed in situations similar to Nate Parker.

birth-of-a-nation_0

I still believe that the movie will be released. If the movie does get released, I will definitely go and see the movie. Here is a trailer of the movie.

We Aren’t living in a Post-Racial society! Part One (rant)

The issue I have with race in America, is that we cannot act as if race is not an issue because we may not face the same injustices. We are so inundated with the idea of individuality and responsibility, that we lost focus on the ugly realities of racism. Forgetting an issue and glossing over it, is not the same as getting rid of it. If you are diagnosed with a disease, and refuse to treat it, than you must either get on board with solutions, or suffer the dire effects. As Blacks, we need to figure out a salient process of making things happen. The reasons I am here nor there about these presidential candidates, is that they have no incentive to help the black community.

What is good wordpress family? It has been a minute since I have last posted. As for me I am still going through my dilemma that I previously spoke about. More importantly, there have been many issues that have been impacting the African American community. With the recent technology of body cameras and phone cameras, America is starting to see the racial ugliness that has been taboo come to the frontline. I could post on and on about the senseless killings that have been happening in the Black community, you can see these atrocities in graphic detail on Shaun King’s timeline.

black-protests

Things are starting to feel like the 1960’s all over again, with tensions flaring over Trump vs. Hilary Clinton, police brutality, racial tensions are becoming the norm on social media. If you follow some of the trending hashtags on twitter, you can easily see the ocean of internet trolls making racially insensitive remarks. For some people, it has even costed them their job. I am on neither candidate’s side. Whoever wins the election, wins the election. There has been deception on both sides of the politics game. Fear-mongering has become rampant throughout both sides of the media. There seems to be this tacit implication that Hilary Clinton has the poor black vote, the converse can be said about Trump, easily winning the poor white vote below the bible belt. Donald Trump is an overt racist, and Hilary Clinton will do anything to gain a vote. Im still reminded of the super-predator remark that was aimed at young black men in the early 1990’s.

ferg
Police wearing riot gear walk toward a man with his hands raised Aug. 11 in Ferguson, Mo. Renewed calls for police departments to hire more minorities have followed the shooting there of a black man by a white police officer.

I have been reading books like crazy about African-American history and I am finally “woke” to the injustices that happens to my race as a whole. I cannot 100 percent say that I am behind the “BLACK LIVES MATTER” movement as well. The whole movement is great as a vehicle to get the message out, but I feel that digital hashtag protests are not the solution. I have read the mission statement from the original website, and there is a lot of intersectionality going on. If you choose to fight for a cause, it should mirror the civil rights movement. The civil rights movement stood up for injustices that made it to the supreme court and caused incredible changes. BLM is a movement that is strategically flawed. When a non-black person hears “BLACK LIVES MATTER”, they immediately digest the meaning as saying their lives matter less. This title automatically causes a person of a different race to become defensive. The naming of the movement is wrong, if you wish to have laws change in the courtroom. Imagine if the civil rights movement chose to go by a moniker such as “STOP KILLING BLACKS!”. I am quite certain that circumstances may have turned out different. While I support the families of victims who suffer from police brutality, I cannot support a movement that only feels a keyboard will cause change.

So, what are the solutions Eddie? To be honest, there are no solutions, this is a process. Solutions happen overnight, processes take time. Racism is insidious and exists in every human being, whether you admit to it or not. How we respond to these emotions and stereotypes, makes a huge difference. Racism is a quagmire that will exist as long as humans exist. Stopping racism is like trying to stop dishonesty. There is no qualitative approach that will make it change. Movies and T.V shows, continue to show Blacks in an inferior state. If most black men you see on television are either rappers, athletes, or actors portraying drug dealers and slaves – what will you automatically perceive the obnoxious black kid, wearing a hoodie with sagging pants as? How will you view the dark skinned black man with a lean muscular build, dreadlocks and tattoos as? You aren’t technically racist  if you hold these thoughts in your mind, but rarely in public spaces would you vocally admit these things, because that would be deemed “politically incorrect”, it is nevertheless true. The fear of black men has existed since slave insurrections of the past.  To rationalize these claims, many right-wing advocates will easily point to the ill-savagery of black on black crime. Which would be asinine to deny, however, Black on Black crime is an issue that police can’t resolve themselves. This is the rapist blaming the rape-victim for being sexually promiscuous. Not the act of rape itself. The protests have always happened  in black neighborhoods. Go to any funeral of any victim of these senseless gang-related or happenstance crimes, there will be a pastor or bishop screaming at the pulpit for the “young brothers and sisters to get saved, and get their act together, come to Jesus, while the lord has blessed you with another day”. How many mothers, fathers, uncle’s, aunt’s, and strong upstanding black people who told their kids how to conduct themselves when police approach the vehicle? How many black mothers and fathers told their kids not to hang around with “those boys and that crowd, cause I’ve heard about them”? What are the working class citizen black families to do, once their child is a victim of violence? Jump in between the bullets of the murderer and victim, while being 11 miles away at their second job? This is an impossible and unrealistic feat. Being poor in a poverty stricken community, you will confront a reality of desperation and violence. In any country, city, or community where you find poverty, you will find violence, it is synonymous. Blacks are among the poorest race in the nation. Another retort to black on black crime is what about before it existed? Before black on black crime, there were justifiable lynchings of black men who tried to own businesses, accidentally gaze at a white woman, or loiter past 9 p.m. in sundown towns. There were people who looked at Emmett Till and said, “that boy should’ve never whistled at no white woman.” And the justifications for police executions in broad daylight on camera, still happen to this day.

Mass incarceration is real, jail recidivism, police brutality, predatory loans, poverty, lack of home ownership, lack of businesses within our community, lack of black support of black businesses, lack of business loans, weak and fluctuating job employment, and inferior educational standards are issues that all need to be addressed. If black people keep voting for candidates who can do a popular dance move, rather than implement laws that will immediately impact African Americans, what is the point of voting. Yes, we should vote for local figures in our community, vote on laws and measures that may impact our community, but the voting out of fear, has no merit in my books. There has to be an incentive for a candidate to wish to do something for the said community. The LGBTQ community are making enormous strides and are forming super-pac’s to make sure change happens.  The Latino community has done the same. The black elite aren’t concerned with the black issues enough to stick together and form a super-pac that will help the less fortunate. They may tweet, or even publicly declare how they will sit down with police officers and have dialogue, some may even tell the black community that we need to “fix” our selves before receiving help, but most of them are invested in retaining the wealth they have earned. Many of them will blame the same communities they come from as victims of their own destruction. Many of their non-black friends will tell them, “look at you man, you are a prime example of someone who started from nothing, and made something happen. You are an example of America and how far we have come.”, buying into this, they easily forget where they come from, and the tactic of using tokenism to hide the hideous realities of black America.
